Advocates for competency-based recreational boat licensing and maritime training the National Maritime College (NMC) is a registered training organisation dedicated to instilling good boat-handling skills, boating knowledge and understanding of the on-water rules to students. Whether you are new to the industry, or have been messing about in boats all your life, it's important to learn correct seamanship skills so that you have the essential boating knowledge to ensure your safety as well as compliance with all current maritime rules and associated regulations. Our specialty is recreational boat training on vessels of all sizes - power and sail. Boating offers a sense of freedom and adventure which is hard to find anywhere else. At the National Maritime College we believe in fun, relaxed, safe and challenging learning for all students, regardless of experience or ability. Whether you're looking to learn power boat or yacht handling skills, want to obtain a boat or jetski licence or seeking to a maritime career we'll teach you current maritime industry practices and correct seamanship skills.
